At the end of the year, you’re surrounded by friends and family during the holidays. Even if your parents drive you a little crazy, they <em>mostly </em>tell you that things will work out, that you’re beautiful and intelligent and lovable, and that you’ll meet somebody someday. Okay okay, I said that’s what they <em>mostly </em>tell you. What I’m trying to say is that you feel hopeful, and you’re probably taking a little break from online dating and the hustling and bustling of real life. It’s quite easy to make ambitious New Years resolutions under those conditions. Keeping said resolutions, once you’re back at work under an oppressive boss, and looking for some type of relief from it all in dates and hookups, is a whole different story. So, it’s alright, we understand; here are dating resolutions you’ve probably already broken two weeks after you made them.

<h2><strong>Believing he just doesn’t know how to take photos</strong></h2>
Time and time again you have found a guy online with a very nice profile, but seven photos of the side of his eye, or a really close-up shot of his beard. “Maybe he doesn’t know how to take photos” you’ve said…"Oh, he was totally lying about his appearance” you’ve ended up realizing. And yet, you did it again! You’re sitting across from a man four inches shorter and 80 pounds heavier than he said he was.
